She was the daughter of James Bradshaw and Maria Henrietta (Colburn) Naylor and married James Bolling Moorman - 28 Aug 1924 - Grayson Co., Texas. Her obituary follows:

Services for Elizabeth Naylor Moorman, 100, of Sherman, who died Thursday, January 20, 2000, at Integrated Health Systems of Sherman, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2000, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

The Reverend James Sproat of the church will officiate. A private burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Dannel Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Moorman was born November 14, 1899 at Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of James Bradshaw Naylor and Maria Colburn Naylor. She graduated from Sherman High School and studied music at Kidd Key College and art at Austin College in Sherman.

She married Dr. James Bolling Moorman on August 28, 1924 in Sherman. Dr. Moorman preceded her in death on December 5, 1974.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a longtime member of the Tuesday Literary Club, Austin College's Campus Club, and Daughters of the American Revolution.

As the wife of Dr. Moorman, Professor and Dean of Austin College, she played an active role in the campus life for over four decades.

Mrs. Moorman is survived by her son, James B. Moorman of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Jane D. Moorman of Oakland, California; three grandchildren, Thomas Bolling Moorman of Ames, Iowa, Anne C. Moorman of Ukiah, California, and Janet Moorman Berkstresser of Kerrville, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John D. Moseley, David Stone, Clyde Hall, Cam Gillespie, Ralph McCord, Forrest Bryant, Raymond Stephens, Andy Crostwaite, and Raymond Risk.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Moorman Scholarship Fund at Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

The family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 23.
