Brian was a loving son, a dedicated mentor and trusted friend. He was a career athlete, a two time all-star for Union High School football, four time letter winner and two time captain for Rutgers University and head football coach for Union High School and presently the head coach at American Heritage High School in Delray Beach, Fla. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Brian was predeceased by his father, William Sheridan; brother, William "Billy" Sean Sheridan; grandparents, Daniel Sheridan, Rose Sheridan, Mykola Martyshuck, Anna Martyshuck; aunts, Dolores Bauernhuber, Arline Sheridan, Kathleen Kearney; cousin, Tracy Albero.
Brian is survived by his mother, Helen Martyshuck Sheridan; fiancée, Humberta "Bert" DeAlmeida; uncles, William Martisth and his wife, Barbara; Daniel Sheridan, Peter Sheridan, Tomas Sheridan and his wife, Bernadette; 13 cousins and fur babies, Jersey and Willow.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, N.J. 08757.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J.
