Geneva B. Dixon, 86, of Elizabethtown, IL. passed away Tuesday morning, December 19, 2006 at Western Baptist Hospital of natural causes. She was born to Thomas and Emma Bryan on May 7, 1920 in Shetlerville, IL. She was a lifelong resident of Hardin County. Geneva was well known in the community as an excellent seamstress. She loved cooking, gardening, needlework and caring for her pets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Dixon; her parents; four brothers; one sister and a great-grandson. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Oxford, and her four daughters and their husbands; Lois and Hartley Bates, Linda and Rick Schwanke, Margie and Danny Joiner and Sherry and Dennis Shaffer. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Geneva enjoyed life to its fullest and will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
