Life Story of Wallace Stacey.
He was born in March 1892 in Westonzoyland, Somerset,
His father and two brothers were Bricklayers, he chose to become a Blacksmith,
that's probably why he became a Shoeing Smith for the Warwickshire Yeomanry, Household Calvary during his time in WW1.
Wallace had nine siblings, Levi died in 1900 at one year old, Spencer died in 1906 aged eight, after being kicked in the head by a horse, he died from his injuries, Vida died in 1909 at 5 month's old.
Wallace joined up to WW1 with two of his brothers, Charles and Alfred, they came home to continue the family building business.
Wallace Stacey was KILLED IN ACTION at Huj, Gaza, Egypt on the 8th of November 1917 and is BURIED in Gaza War Cemetery.
