Mrs. Matilda Regina Kraus, 88 years old, passed away Sunday, April 8, 1979, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City. She was born in McFarland, Kansas, and had lived in the Kansas City area for 60 years. Mrs. Kraus was a parishioner of Visitation Catholic Church.
She leaves two sons, Clarence James Kraus of Kansas City and Joseph Edgar Kraus of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Amelia Mangan of Dodge City, Mrs. Kathlyn Maurine Taylor of Houston, Mrs. Genevieve Louise Bowman of Kansas City, Mrs. Georgianna Stewart of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mrs. Susan Daly of Grand Island, Neb.; 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rosary was prayed at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where friends called during the evening. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Visitation Catholic Church followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown.
