Kathleen had worked as a sales representative for L'eggs Hosiery for 23 years and then as a sales representative for Map Works for several years before retiring in 2014. She also worked for two years as an administrative secretary for New York Bow Hunters Inc. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, machine knitting, dogs, hunting, travel and especially spending time with family. Kathleen was a great lover of animals, especially dogs. Her favorite breed was the misunderstood pit bull. She spent a great deal of time, money and energy in service to the breed and animal rescue services both locally and nationwide. Kathleen was an avid machine knitter. She gave both public seminars and private lessons. She enjoyed trading and loved to buy and sell on eBay and other online auctions under the seller ID momoarmstrong. She was a New York Bow Hunter's volunteer eBay auction coordinator and raised tens of thousands of dollars for the not for profit. Kathleen was an avid hunter and trained several excellent hunting dogs. She was a life member of The National Rifle Association, the New York State Conservation Council, New York Bow Hunters Inc. and the South Bristol Fish and Game Club. She was also a member of the Kiandaga branch of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a fourteenth-generation great-granddaughter of Myles Standish.
