Sue James, 85, of Farmersville, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Farmersville, Texas. Sue was born in Nevada, Texas on Monday, March 12, 1934. Her parents were the late Donald Neil and Claudie Meryle (Cowgill) Becknell. Sue grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School which is now known as Community High School. Sue married Billy Max James on May 14, 1954 in Nevada. Sue had worked for Universal Transformer where she was a wire winder. Bill and Sue lived in Wylie where they raised their son Max and were members of the First Baptist Church of Wylie.

Sue is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill James of Farmersville and son, Max James of Wylie; brother, Wesley Becknell of Albuquerque, New Mexico and sister, Ann Holland of Rockwall, Texas and other family and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Wylie. Sue's funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. also at the First Baptist. Dr. A.L. Draper and Rev. Charlie Busby will officiate. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
