Aaron's parents, Joel and Catherine (Randall) Wilcox, moved from Chester Town in what is now Warren County, New York to Monroe County, New York where Aaron married Azubah Mark in about 1827. They eventually settled in Ogden Township, Lenawee County, Michigan in about 1834. Aaron moved to Palmyra Township in 1856 and he died there in 1864. His son, Horace, who was serving in the 4th Michigan Cavalry in Tennessee at the time of his father's death, was given a furlough to come home to "save the property bequeathed him." Azubah lived with her sons and daughter, dying at her daughter Sarah Luke's home in Los Angeles in 1888, the year after Aaron and Azubah's son, Harvey, founded the town of Hollywood, California. Their children became prominent teachers and ministers in Lenawee County, Harvey and Sarah's husband, Elisha Luke, were prominent real estate developers in Los Angeles.
