Daughter of George Washington McAllister and Mary Ann Harding.

Married her cousin James Benton McAllister on 4 Dec 1873, Greenup County, Kentucky, after he left Washington State in 1870 and arrived back in Kentucky. He remarried to Elizabeth (Hannah) Hicks from Greenup Co., KY. abt. 1883.

Hannah Bell McAllister married at 16, had 5 children and died at the age of 24. Her daughter Sarah was born at Hunnewell, Greenup Co., KY in 1882. I believe that Hannah was buried at the Hunnewell Cemetery, as Martha (McAllister) Hicks, d/o cousin Joseph McAllister who died in 1906 at the age of 40, is buried at the cemetery. Her headstone inscription is very well weathered. Other burials inventoried during the GCCC cemetery survey were not recently found. A few deceased whose d/c's indicated to them to be buried at the cemetery were not recently found. There are a number of stone markers, where family did not return to their graves to place headstones. Hannah's husband stayed there long enough at Hunnewell to remarry and return to Washington Territory with a couple or few of her daughters, and a couple children of his new wife.

Following her death, James married Elizabeth Hannah abt 1883, who was married to James Hicks and they had the following children, that would eventually adopt the McAllister surname:

In 1870 James McAllister went back to Kentucky and married Miss Belle McAllister on 4 Dec 1873, Greenup Co., KY. James remained in Kentucky several years. In 1877, daughter Latitia was born in Missouri. The year 1882 found James again in (Chehalis County, now called Grays Harbor County) Washington Territory. Hannah had died in 1882.
