Paul Clinton Comer, 83, of Seagrove, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church, in Bennett, with Dr. Neil Jackson and Dr. Curtis Barbery presiding. The body will lie in state at Joyce-Brady Chapel on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm for those wishing to sign the register and pay their respects.

Paul was born in Moore County, on December 25, 1936 to Gurney Clinton Comer and Mary Alice Brewer Comer.

He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church for 50 years. Paul worked in maintenance with Eveready, traveling the United States and abroad. After 30+ years of service, he retired and worked part-time at Joyce-Brady Chapel. He loved fixing things, gardening, camping, hunting and fishing. Paul treasured his family and the time he spent with them.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Mae Brady Comer; son, Gary Wayne Comer (Michelle), of Seagrove; daughter, Sherry Comer Atkins (John), of Troy; sisters, Mae Comer Hussey (Paul), of Robbins and Nell Comer Allen (Fairel), of Greensboro; grandchildren, Lauren Atkins, Bradley Atkins, Stephen Comer and Sara Comer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 104, Bennett NC 27208 or First Health Hospice, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374.
