She was born on August 16, 1952 in Glens Falls, New York to Karl and Audrey Anderson.
Karen’s faith and love for God defined who she was. Her love and care for others was poured out as a teacher, wife and mother. Karen loved serving God through playing the guitar, leading music, directing the choir, and teaching Bible classes for over 35 years. With a radiant smile and engaging personality, she left a lasting impression on all who met her.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Joy, her children, Kate Joy and Michael Joy, and her brothers Gary Anderson and Wayne Anderson.
Services will be held at her home church, the First Assembly of God, 164 Prospect Ave, Plattsburgh NY 12901, on December 7, at 10:00 am.
