Born June 28, 1912 in Abilene, she moved to Levelland in 1938 from Odessa. She graduated from Ropes High School and attended Texas Tech for a year. She married Homer Johnson Nov. 3, 1934 in Tucumcari, N.M. She and her husband, co-owned Homer Johnson Oil Company. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Levelland and had served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
Survivors include her son, Jimmie Johnson and his wife Linda of Levelland; her daughter, Gay Johnson of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Jamie Noesen and her husband Glen of Plano, Justin Johnson of Lubbock, and Brittany Weaver and her husband Matt of Sweetwater; and two great-grandchildren, Kara Blakemore and Stefan Noesen.
