at Wheaton Library is a book Portraits and Biographical Record of Shelby and Moutrie Co, Ill by the Shelby Gen. Society. an article on Thomas J. Satterthwaite the son of Richard and Ursula. He was the only child born in Indiana. The rest of his sibblings were born in Ohio. He moved with his parents(Ursula and step father Joseph Rice) to Montgomery Co. in 1868 and after his marriage he located on sect.8 in Oconee. 80 acres containing good timber and an orchard. At the time the article was written (before they reprinted it) He and Lucy had the following children
1. Lithuamy b. 2-29-1880
2. Charley C. b. 8-18-1882
3. John Benny b. 7-23-1881
4. Florence b. 11-28-1886
5. Willey b. 1-2-1886
6. Gracie May b. 4-13-1890
It says that Florence and Willey died in childhood.
After the article was written they had Roy H. b. 9-17-1892
Chester b. 1897
It also says that Joseph Rice was a farmer and stock raiser and also a Baptist preacher.
