He was the only child born in Indiana. The rest of his sibblings were born in Ohio. He moved with his parents(Ursula and step father Joseph Rice) to Montgomery Co. in 1868 and after his marriage he located on sect.8 in Oconee. 80 acres containing good timber and an orchard. At the time the article was written (before they reprinted it) He and Lucy had the following children

4. Florence b. 11-28-1886
