Shirley Jean Coleman (79), passed away in her Houston, Texas home on September 11, 2020 after a long and courageous fight with Cancer.

She was born at home in Willis, Texas on February 14, 1941; the daughter of Juanita Laverne Grissett and Roscoe E Shropshire. She grew up in Houston, Texas with her mother, step-father, Alfred Wieser, and 5 siblings. Shirley always considered Alfred to be her father. She married her first love, James Coleman Jr. on March 18, 1958 in Huntsville, Texas, with whom she had five children. They were married for 33 years, until he passed. She worked in retail for over 40 years and was well liked by her co-workers. Shirley loved to sing and perform Patsy Cline at karaoke; she had a beautiful singing voice. She loved being with friends and family for gatherings and home cooked meals. She loved to cook. She had a very sweet spirit, everyone who met Shirley, loved her. As tumultuous as 2020 has been for everyone, Shirley was lucky enough to find, Bobby C Gray, in January of 2020. She loved him until her death.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Coleman Jr., son Ronnie James Coleman, great grandson, Christian Coleman, father, Alfred A Wieser, and sister Patti Ann Dombrowski.
