Nancy Mae “Subay” Austin was born January 21, 1945 to the late Emmanuel Austin and Georgia M. Benard in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Subay never met a stranger. She welcomed everyone into her home; she loved and gave to everyone freely. Subay wasn’t shy and she always spoke her mind. Her personality – we will surely miss!
Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents, Emmanuel Austin and Georgia “Teapot” Benard; four sisters, Bessie Whitaker, Georgia A. Hall, Lenora Pendleton and Lillie Wardley; three brothers, Maurice and Redell Austin and Calvin Benard.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Tommy (Sabrina) Austin, Robbie Austin and Anthony Austin; three daughters, Patricia (Michael) Williams, Pamela (Derrick) Huell and Renae Austin, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; nine brothers, Jessie (Shelia) Benard, Alonzo Austin, Mose Benard, Carl Benard, Andrew Benard, Georgerie Benard, Aaron (Brenda) Benard, Joseph (Belita) Benard and Roosevelt Benard; three sisters, Laverne Brent, Rebecca (Tommy) Tribble and Eliza (Martin) Bentivengo; and a host of grand children, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. The absence of her presence will truly be felt!
