Fort Bend Herald, March 31, 2014:

Andrea Hernandez, 90, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went to be with our "Lord & Savior" on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors on Monday, March 31, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.

Andrea was born Nov. 30, 1923 in Gonzales, Texas to Geronimo and Jacoba (Saucedo) Cardenas. Andrea was a very simple, fun, and loving person with a heart of gold who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo and Jacoba Cardenas; husband, Pascual A. Hernandez; brothers, Gonzalo Cardenas, Crispin Cardenas, Octavio Cardenas, and Jesus Cardenas; and sisters, Jesusa Leandro and Angelita Vargas.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Felipe Hernandez, Natividad Hernandez, Pascual A.Hernandez Jr., Miguel Hernandez, Teresa Flores and husband, Margarito, Juanita Barrera and husband, Juan, Benita Hernandez, Isabel Hernandez, Paula Solorzano and husband, Gilbert, Maria Elena Santos and husband, Mario; sister, Georgie Gandara; 35 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; along with many other friends and loved ones.
