Mrs. Virginia Marie Allen, age 77, of Lewisburg, TN, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Franklin, TN. She was born in Marshall County, TN to the late John Leonard and Robbie Mai Cozart Blackwell. She was a member of East Commerce Baptist Church in Lewisburg, TN and worked for Russell Vending and later at Wal-Mart. Mrs. Allen loved Indian artifacts and anything pertaining to Indians. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Blackwell.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her children, Monty (Vicky) Sanders of Lewisburg, TN, Kevin Sanders of Lewisburg, TN, Tina (Russell) Wooten of Lewisburg, TN, Mark (Sierra Thomas) Sanders of Maryville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Scribner, John Wilson, Megan Chapman, Savannah Wooten, Olivia Wooten, Mallorie Wooten, and baby Sanders; 2 great grandchildren, Kaybie and Cutler Scribner; sisters, Pauline Hulshof of Lewisburg, TN, Carol Smith of Lewisburg, TN, Sadie Hobbs of Lewisburg, TN, Patricia Malave of Lewisburg, TN, Julene Reese of Lewisburg, TN, Debbie Linley of Lewisburg, TN; brothers, Leslie Blackwell of Lewisburg, TN and Dennis Blackwell of Lewisburg, TN.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community in Bedford County, TN with Pastor Cliff Vines officiating. Interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery.
