Marion E Perry, passed away due to Alzheimer’s Disease on May 23, 2016 in Aurora Colorado after a two year stay in an assisted living center. Born in Cassville, Missouri, Dec 26, 1932, she later attended Arkansas University and finished with a business degree. She met Boyce Perry while in school and soon married him after graduation as he was leaving for military duty. Upon his return and completion of a petroleum engineer degree, they moved to several towns in Oklahoma, before settling in Ardmore and residing here for the next 52 years. Boyce was employed by Samedan for 30 years. The family is very appreciative of the many great people and the company that provided so much support and generosity for them. She had two children, Brett Perry of Ardmore, and Lezli Durbon of Lone Tree, Colorado, in-laws Cindy Perry, and Jeff Durbon, along with grandchildren Annie and Baylie Durbon and stepgranddaughter Madison Batterton. She served as a fantastic mother and grandmother, bringing education, joy, love and lots of exposure to a variety of activities, foods and events. She always loved gardening and working in the yard, along with sewing, fishing and attending OU football games. Along with motherhood, she became very active in different organizations in Ardmore including Dornick Hills ladies golf club, the Goddard Center, and numerous groups with her friends, including, stock, garden, and bridge clubs. She was also an avid traveler making trips to South America, England, Spain, Italy, China and Africa, often learning the cuisine of those areas and sharing those same foods and experiences with friends and family upon her return. She brought friendship and laughter to many. The family would like to extend great thanks to all of her close friends, they meant so much to her.
