We are sure Steve Hicks walked, ran, danced, and maybe even skipped into heaven on Friday, September 8th.

A man who was independent and strong to the core, who was loved by many and inspired by all with his determination, and zest to live life without a complaint. We all know he loved his family, his church, and FSU.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years Beverly, whom he adored; his sons Tim Hicks (Joy, children Mason and Molly) and Todd Hicks (Priscilla, children Hannah, Katie Grace, Abbigail, Maggie, and Lily ); brother Porter Hicks and "sister" cousin Betts Knutson.

He leaves after 72 years of life. His enduring spirit, strength, and determination will carry on in those he inspired and those who loved him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 16th at Hendricks Ave Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207 with the family receiving visitors starting at 10am with a church reception afterwards.

Arrangements by Naugle Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 1203 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL, 904-396-1611

Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church will be accepting non tax deductible donations for the care and love of Steve's family.
