Kim “Swart” Carson, 64, of Galena, Kansas passed away at 9:36 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Mercy Hospital of Joplin, Missouri.
She was born October 2, 1955 in Pittsburg, Kansas a daughter of William and Evelyn (Gaston) Swart.
She attended school in Girard and graduated from the Girard High School.
Kim and Gary Bennett were united in marriage on August 10, 1974 in Girard. They divorced.
In February of 2000, Kim was united in marriage to William Carson and he survives of the home.
Kim worked all her life in the health care field before ill health forced her to retire.
She enjoyed her job and her pets.
Survivors in addition to her husband are one son, Jeremy Bennett of Girard, one daughter, Aimee Bennett and her partner, Josh Vail, of Girard, stepdaughter, April Dawn Nance of Wichita, one granddaughter, Carlie Vail and one brother, Rev. Jeff Swart and his wife Debbie of Conway, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will take place at a later date.
