Johnnie Delores (Rainwater) Mitchell was born on March 8, 1938 in Plumerville, Arkansas to Odus and Carmen (Moore) Rainwater. Delores passed away and entered heavens gates at the age of 82 on September 14, 2020 in Dardanelle, Arkansas.

William “Bill” Denny Mitchell was born on September 25, 1928 in Bedford, Indiana, a son to Rollen and Stella Mitchell. He was best known to everyone as simply “Bill.” Bill passed away at the age 89 on May 04, 2018.

Delores was married to the love of her life Bill for 43 years. The lived together in Plumerville, Arkansas where they enjoyed being members of the Plumerville Church of Christ. Delores was proud being married to Bill; a man having such a love for his country and fellow man serving in the military and as a police officer for many years. Delores worked for many years as a childcare provider in the Conway County Area. Delores life centered around her family and she had a special love for her grandchildren. She devoted much time to keeping them when given the opportunity. Delores was a people person and enjoyed spending time at the beauty shop and shopping with her friends. Her love for chocolate and sugar was just as sweet as her personality. She stood behind Bill in his many endeavors of life. He served a three-year tour of duty with the US Air Force and then came home and began his lifelong commitment to the field of law enforcement. After training Bill became an officer with the Arkansas State Police, Troop J Unit. Trooper Mitchell served as Post Sergeant and in 1965 was honored to be the very first officer to receive the Arkansas State Trooper of the Year Award. In 1984, after 25 years of service Bill retired from the state police.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents: two brothers and three sisters;

Delores is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

They are survived by her sons: Mark Deaton of Fayetteville, AR, Billy Mitchell of St. Robert, MO; daughters: Phyllis Riedmueller of Russellville, AR, Lisa Trafford and husband Steve of Morrilton, AR, Mary Ruth Mitchell of Conway, AR, Joyce Ann Mitchell of Plumerville, AR; brothers: Larry Rainwater and wife Rose of Plumerville, AR; sisters: Betty Pryor of Plumerville, AR, Brenda Sensabaugh and husband Joe of Morrilton, AR; Sisters: Martha Stotts & Phyllis Mitchell both of Indiana, ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held privately at a later date.
