Charles “Chuck” Bailey Blanton, 79, of Orleans, passed away at 7:15 PM on September 14, 2020 at his home.
He was born July 3, 1941 in Huron, IN, the son of William and Mary (Grissom) Blanton.
He married Kathleen (Briscoe) Blanton on February 7, 1969 and she survives.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the Orange County Highway Dept. for many years. He graduated from Huron High School, class of 1960.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Orleans; two daughters, Maryanah “Tooter” (Tim) of Orleans and Kate Tolbert (Sam) of Mitchell; four grandchildren, Cole Gray, Bailey Hopkins, Wyatt Campbell and Wil Tolbert; two great grandsons, Payson Hopkins and Cohen Hickman; two sisters, Genvea Morris and Peggy McNeely; one brother, John Blanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl Blanton and Gene Grissom.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home.
Cremation was chosen and no services will be scheduled.
