Linda K. Anthony, 75, of Topinabee, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs. Linda was born on April 14, 1941 in Cheboygan, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Watson) Bradstrom. She graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1959. In February 1960, Linda married Richard L. Kage of Mackinaw City. The couple initially made their home in the Los Angeles, Calif. area and had two sons, before moving back to Cheboygan a few years later to be closer to family. They divorced in 1974.

In 1975, Linda married her husband of nearly 30 years, Joseph R. (Joe) Anthony. The couple made their expanded family home in Topinabee. Linda was employed as a social worker at the Cheboygan County Department of Social Services for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Joe preceded her in death in 2005. Linda enjoyed painting, cooking, traveling, camping, dancing and spending time with her family, friends, and the couple's beloved dog, Josie. She was very active in the First Church of Christ Science in Cheboygan.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her sister, Carol Bradstrom, of Houghton, Mich., her sons, Mark (Heather) Kage of Charlevoix, and Scott (Tammy) Kage of Topinabee, step children she loved as her own; Sue (Eric) Tollefsen of Anchorage, Alaska, Jenny (Tim) Elsea of Debary, Fla., Joe Anthony, Jr. of N.Y., Tim (Jeneen) Anthony of Fairbanks, Alaska, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A loving celebration of Linda's life will take place in the spring of 2017, with a date to be announced at that time. Memorial contributions in Linda's memory are suggested to the Cheboygan County Humane Society. Lintz Funeral Home is serving Linda's family.
