Karla Diane Friesen was born to us, Leonard and Starlyn Friesen, on March 29, 1979, at Magic Valley Memorial Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho. She passed from this life at the family home in the Buhl community on April 26, 1979. She was just four weeks old.
We looked forward to the birth of our own little one, as parents do, but soon it became apparent that she might not be with us long. We were hardly prepared for so short a stay, but we humbly submit to God's will, knowing that His way is best. Our family circle has started in Heaven, and it only makes Heaven nearer since Karla is there.
She leaves to mourn her early departure: her parents, Leonard and Starlyn Friesen of Buhl; her grandparents, Jake and Sarah Friesen, also of Buhl, and Kenneth and Bertha Jantz of Livingston, California; and great-grandmother, Katherine Friesen of Buhl. Many other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held April 28, 1979, at Buhl Mennonite Church with Ministers Harold Eck and Wayne Amoth in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.
