Betty Jo Cunningham, 72, of Spurger, was born November 4, 1947 to John Henry Glaze, Jr and Faye Ione Rippy On September 14, 2020, with her son and grandchildren at her side, she passed on to her Heavenly home.
Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 17, 2020 at End Time Full Gospel Church in Jasper with burial at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be 9:00 am prior to service.
Betty, affectionately known as Mama and Nana, is survived by her children, Thomas and Ouida Cunningham, Johnny and Karen Parker; son-in-law, Richard Shaw; granddaughters, Luv Fulton, Destiny and Jose Gallegos; grandson and friend, Johnny Cunningham and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Arena and Isabella Fulton, Ezekiel, Allyssa, Zachariah and Amelia Jo Gallegos, and Emery Cunningham due in January 2020. Betty is also survived by her brothers, Robert and Teresa Glaze, Jimmy and Sandra Glaze; sister, Wanda Cockrell.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Cunningham (11/29/92); son, Marion Clayton Cunningham (3/28/20); daughter, Sherry Lynn Shaw Cunningham (5/8/20), mother, Faye Rippy (8/26/20); brothers, Buddy Glaze and Joe Glaze.
Betty was a kind and caring soul with a heart full of love for everyone she met and came to know. Above all, Betty loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When speaking of love ones gone on, she would say "I just want to see Jesus and make Heaven my home." Today, we have peace knowing Mama is with Jesus and our love ones who have gone on.
