Services for Mrs. Cassie Mai Benson Thompson, 83, of the Bethel community, who died Sunday at the Rutherford County Nursing Home after an extended illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Reverends George Anderson and Wesley Smith will officiate.
Her parents were the late Jim and Donnie Mae Zumbro Benson.
She is survived by her husband, David Thompson; two sons, Tommy and Aubrey Thompson, both of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Louise) Coke of Murfreesboro, Mrs. John (Naomi) Lee Jr., of Smyrna , Mrs. Leroy (Mary Ruth) Hilliard of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
