Roland Henry Jones, Sr., 92, of Highland Springs, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Gladys Jones; wife of 69 years, Sara R. Jones; and his great grandchild, Reighlyn. Roland worked as a Historical Plasterer for E.I. Dupont Co.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Roland H. Jones, Jr., Bruce Edward Jones, and Sara Lynn English; grandchildren, Roland H. Jones III, Sara “Joy” Peterson, Ashley English, Heather English, and Tracie Posey; five step grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Lemon; 10 great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 where a service will be held immediately following. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
