Mark R. Turner, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly, at age 64, on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his home. He was born in 1956. He retired from working as a security supervisor for the Transportation Security Administration and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was an avid University of Kentucky fan and loved the American eagle. He also liked collecting Civil War muskets. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching western movies, reading science fiction books and traveling, especially to Alaska. His greatest joy of all was his family. Mark was a family man, who cherished his daughters and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Alma McMullen; and a sister, Melinda. Surviving to mourn his loss are: three loving daughters, Melinda (Ezequiel) Turner-Avilez, Angella Turner and Dianna (Joseph) Mullins; his mother, Joyce Slaton; a brother, Bryan (Kathy) Turner; five beloved grandchildren, Shyan, Hailey, Piper, Jackson and Elyana; a great-grandchild, Theo; a good friend, Lavonne Thomas; and many other friends and relatives, who will cherish his memory.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, at David's Fork Baptist Church, 3245 North Cleveland Road, Lexington, Kentucky.
