Suggested edit: James "Jim" Steiner, 71, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Monday at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, son of Ralph R. and Betty (Gilleland) Steiner. Jim married Carole Haller on June 12, 1971.
Surviving are his wife, his mother, a daughter Shelly Lynne Beaver (Eric), a son Scott Richard Steiner, and two grandchildren, Emily and Jacob James Beaver.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Ronald Douglas Steiner.
Jim was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was an art teacher for the Altoona Area School District at Roosevelt Junior High School and was an adjunct professor at the Penn State Altoona campus. He also owned and operated 2S Graphics and Design Company.
Jim enjoyed watching sports, fishing and golfing.
Services will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc. Alto-Reste Park.
