Lisa was born on July 14th 1961 in Chicago IL to Normand Sr. and Jane Lynn Bertaut. Lisa relocated to Canada where she settled and raised her four children. Over the years Lisa lived in various cities, both in Canada and the US. Lisa was a charming and social person who connected easily with others. She was funny, affectionate, honest, and authentic. Nothing was more important to her than family and she made a point to keep up to date with her loved ones, no matter the distance between them. She was guided by her faith and had a strong sense of responsibility to help and care for others. She enjoyed the sunshine, keeping up with the news, fishing, playing golf or scrabble, and having a laugh with family and friends over drinks.
Lisa’s pride and joy were her family, whom she loved intensely. She was preceded in death by her loving father Normand Sr. and brother Greg. Left to cherish her memory are her adoring children, Candice (Alex), James, Robert (Katherine), and Michael and her five precious grandchildren, Jordan, Sienna, Gemma, Savannah, and Oscar. Lisa was blessed to come from a large family and will be forever remembered by her surviving siblings; twin sister Linda, Margot (Chris), Mark, Norm (Dorothy), and Bruce (Fiona). Lisa will also be lovingly missed by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fondly remembered by her aunt Margot, whom Lisa had been a caretaker for.
Lisa’s beautiful soul will remain forever in the hearts and minds of all those she touched.
Her inurnment will take place at Highland Park Cemetery, in Peterborough ON, near the resting place of her beloved father. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to contribute can celebrate Lisa’s life by donating to Five Counties Children’s Centre (https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E345538QE&id=3).
Stories, pictures or any fond memories can be shared on this page and will be greatly appreciated by all. In addition, Lisa’s Facebook page will remain open (memorialized); all are welcome to post memories and final words to her there as well.
