Survived by his daughter Shirley (Richard) Marotta of Hagaman, Two grandchildren Marianne (James) Van Buren of Guilderland, and Susan (Edward) Redmond of Amsterdam. Survived also by three great grandchildren Rachel Redmond, Jake Van Buren, Jessica Redmond. Two great great grandchildren Karli Mae Zapp, Parker Benfield, and by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Seymour was predeceased by his wife whom he married on May 26, 1940, and who passed away on August 14, 1994 Florence (Terry) Young.
During his lifetime he was born and raised in Amsterdam, was a member of the Amsterdam United Methodist Church. He worked for Mohasco Industries, and for Montgomery Electric Company both in Amsterdam. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family, and friends
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday September 16, 2020 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Amsterdam United Methodist Church, 347 Golf Course Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Funeral services and burial in the family plot of Hagaman Mills Cemetery will be private, and at the convenience of the family.
