Phyllis Ann Merrell, 77, of Bald Knob, died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at home. She was born September 16, 1942 in Bald Knob to the late Oran W. and Bernie Lavenia (Hickman) Tucker. Phyllis was a faithful member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church, a very loving mother and an unforgettable sister. She dearly loved each of her grandchildren. Phyllis never met a stranger and was always kind to those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll Merrell; 5 children, Scotty Merrell, Lisa Davis (Jim), Micheal Lowrey (Beverly), Tracey Merrell (Susie) and Stephen Merrell; a sister, Judie Stubbs; grandchildren, Kimberly Oden, Kendra Bullock, Katie Lowrey, Zachary Davis (Solony), Ashlee Jimenez (Michael), Jade Leonard and Sarah Parsons; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel Lemons, Alora Bullock, Kyler Jinks, James Oden and Abigale Easter.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Marlon Stubbs.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob with Bro. Caleb Decker officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
