She was born October 7, 1927 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Rice) Shaub and was a graduate of the former William Penn High School and Shippensburg State Teacher's College.
Tillie retired from the Harrisburg School District after 40 years teaching elementary school and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She was a member of Rockville United Methodist Church and enjoyed arts and crafts, especially for her church's yearly sale. She also loved traveling; was a Girl Scout leader and bowled in a bowling league.
She is survived by her cousin, Jane Dunn of Harrisburg and her family; her dear friend, Barbara Miller of Camp Hill; and her beloved cat, Hokie.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2006 at Zimmerman Auer Funeral Home, 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, where a viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Landisburg Cemetery.
