JEWEL FAY HOLCOMB
LONGVIEW, Wash. - Funeral services for Jewel Fay Holcomb were conducted in Longview, Wash., with burial in Longview Memorial Park. The Rev. Lyle Prather officiated.
Mrs. Holcomb, 65, 34870 North Buckway, Deer Island, Ore., died Saturday, July 23, 1994 at the St. Helens, Ore., nursing home.
She was born May 1, 1909 in Boulder, a daughter of Henry Reese and Laura Fay Troutman Mitchell.
Her hobbies included traveling and dancing. She was a member of the St. Helens Moose, St. Helens Elks and the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles, both in Rock Springs.
She was a construction company cook and a hotel owner. She moved from Rock Springs to Deer Island in 1964.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon Holcomb of the home; a son, Edwin Tynsky, Rock Springs; two brothers, Finis Mitchell, Rock Springs, and Dennis Mitchell, Pinedale; a granddaughter, Lynne Demshar; two grandsons, Lee Tynsky and Larry Tynsky; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Keahey.
