Joyce was born on September 15, 1949 in Hickory Grove, Oklahoma to Chloe and Alta (McDonald) Austin. Joyce passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the age of 69.
Joyce graduated with honors from Bethany Nazarene College. Joyce married Wayne Kendall Taylor in Anderson, Missouri on December 31, 1968. Their union was blessed with a son, Shane and a daughter, Shawna. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her family and loved spending time with them.
Joyce enjoyed reading, playing piano and singing in the choir. She loved the Lord and constantly studied her bible. Every year for 38 years, Joyce read through the entirety of her bible. Joyce had an extensive prayer list and was a member of the Assembly of God. She was also a charter member of Jenks Community Food Bank, President of LMS, and President of the Women’s Auxiliary of Pentecostal Fellowship of America.
