Steven Joseph James Wall, born December 9th 1944, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, died September 12th, 2020, at his home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mary Jo, their six children and spouses, Kristin (Dean) Phillips, Patrick (Kirsten) Wall, Kelley Wall (Jason Jedlowski), Meghan Broughton, Bill (Caprice) McGrail, Katie McGrail. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Katelyn and Madison Broughton, Mabel and Dallas Phillips, Dayton, Liam and Lochlain McGrail, Alexis and Carson Jedlowski, Braden and Logan Wall, and great-grandfather to Troy Lewis.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wall, Carole (Hal) Pray, and his parents, Samuel and Mabel (Mibs) Wall. A proud alumnus of Precious Blood Grade School, Detroit Catholic Central High School, and the University of Detroit Mercy (BS, MBA), Steve was involved in many activities and leadership positions throughout his life. He was a four year Manager of the Hockey Team at Catholic Central where he was twice admitted to the Catholic Central Athletic Hall of Fame, President of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, President of Student Government, Orientation General Chairman, and Blue Key Honor Society.

After his undergraduate career, Steve became Dean of Students at U of D. Subsequently, he had a very successful career in business, working many years at Plante Moran, Ring Screw Works and Michigan Rod Products. Above all of these numerous accomplishments, Steve will most be remembered in his favorite roles as a loving husband, caring father, loyal friend, and proud grandfather & great-grandfather. His generous spirit will be missed by the innumerable people whose lives he touched throughout his entire life.

In leiu of flowers, memorials suggested to either Loyola High School, 15325 Pinehurst St., Detroit, 48238 or Catholic Central High School, 27225 Wixom Rd., Novi, MI 48374

Family will receive friends on Monday, September 14 from 2 to 7 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd (between Maple and Big Beaver), Troy.

A private Funeral Mass will be held.
