FOWLER — Patricia Ann May, of Fowler Township, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, September 11, 2020, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family, following a 10-month battle with cancer. Pat was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, November 13, 1937, to Max and Bernadette Kershner Bartosh. She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1955; shortly thereafter she married her sweetheart, Dale F. May, on November 22, 1958. Together over the course of 49 years they made their home in Hubbard, Lake Milton, Ashtabula and finally Fowler Township before Dale's passing in 2007. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Patty had a variety of careers in data entry. Following her graduation, she began working for GM, then in the office at Packard Electric, before retiring from Sharon Steel in 1992. Mrs. May was a very active member of her beloved St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and had held many positions within the group. She especially enjoyed traveling on the casino bus trips that were sponsored by the church. Pat had belonged to the same card club for over 65 years and had also remained active in her high school alumni group where she continued many loving and caring relationships with friends from grade school. Patty enjoyed life and lived by the philosophy of the glass is always half-full. She will always be remembered by the many friends that she made wherever she went. She leaves behind her daughters, Lynn Michalec and her husband, James of Fowler and Luanne Morris and her husband, Scott of Naples, Florida.; five grandchildren, Kristina (Richard) Michalec-Neral, David (Janina) Michalec, Cory (Mia) Morris, James (Jenya) Michalec and Chad (Laura) Morris; six great-grandchildren, with one due at any time; her brother-in-law, John Rich of Las Vegas; along with her many beloved friends. In addition to her husband Dale, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Rita Rich. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by The Very Rev. Frank Zanni V.F. at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, in the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Vienna. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the start of Mass.
