She was the daughter of Abraham Wotring and Margaret Troxell' She married Adam Johann Shaffer and they had 13 children per information obtained from Mary Grace Bachtel-DePollo's "History of the Bachtel Family of Preston and Garrett Counties-1986" and current FamilySearch.org records.
