Cronley Dillon Padgett, 80, of Leland, North Carolina, died on September 12, 2020. He was born October 12, 1939 in Onslow County to Arthur Frank Padgett and Danie Hollis Padgett.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Joyce Renee Padgett; brother Earol Padgett and sister Ida Padgett.
Dillon will be forever remembered by his family and friends as a hard-working man, devout Christian, and dedicated family man. He enjoyed a robust garden and was quick to make everyone laugh. Everyone loved their Papa.
He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Padgett; daughters: Donna Hudson and husband Ralph of Garner; Kelly Smitherman and husband Michael of Leland; son Brian Dillon Padgett of Richmond; six grandchildren: Adam Smitherman, Noah Smitherman, Victoria Hudson McGee and husband Josh, Stephen Hudson, Spencer Padgett and wife Carlee, and Trenton Padgett; three great-grandchildren and brother Tommy Padgett of Spring Lake.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020 in the Chapel of Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Boulevard, Wilmington, NC 28412. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
