Ronald “Ron” DeWitt Ray - Age 66 of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 8th, 2020.

Ron was born December 11th, 1953, in Harriman, TN to William L. Ray Jr. and Muriel Ray. Ron was a devout believer of the Pentecostal faith, and he was quick to share the gospel and love of Christ to anyone he met. He was a 1971 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School. Ron was always passionate about Chattanooga area politics, where he served as a President of the Lookout Valley Neighborhood Association, national political affairs, and was truly a very patriotic individual. He loved Kentucky basketball, college football, and the game of golf. He built a Chattanooga area business providing services spanning the Tri-State region. He is most remembered for developing impactful, encouraging relationships with many of the people he came to meet personally and professionally. Most of all, Ron’s life was centered on his beloved family. He adored his wife Twana, son Matthew, and daughter Elizabeth, and was beloved by the same. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, father-in-law, and brother-in-law to his wonderful family.

Ron was proceeded in death by his father, William L. Ray Jr.

He is survived by loving wife, Twana Ray of Chattanooga, TN; mother, Muriel Ray of Chattanooga, TN; son, Matthew (Amanda) Ray of Chickamauga, GA; daughter, Elizabeth (Russell) Bradford of Ringgold, GA; brother, Stevie Ray of Chattanooga, TN; twin brother Donnie (Teressa) Ray of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Tami (Steve) Childs of Atlanta, GA & Jody (Ronny) McBryar of Rising Fawn, GA; grandchildren, Parker Ray, Emily Ray, Nyla Bradford, Kaya Bradford, Dax Bradford; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 10, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with David Clark officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, West.
