Carol Pennington, 63, of Irvington, Alabama, was called Home on Friday, September 11, 2020. She was born on September 11, 1957, to the late Paul L. and Patricia Ann Adams.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula before moving to Irvington after Hurricane Katrina. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and caregiver. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she was the glue that brought everyone together.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Adams, her father, Paul L. Adams, and her brother, David Adams.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 23 years, Phil Pennington; sons, Larry Adams and Michael (Lauren) Adams; grandchildren, Gavin, Payton, Victoria, Chase, Paul, Michael, and Emma; brother, Doug (Sabrina) Adams; sisters, Janet (Keith) DeAngelo, Karen Lamie, and Laurie Adams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held for Carol on Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Safe Harbor United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Robbie Murden officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery in Moss Point, MS, with Zach Adams, Nick DeAngelo, Bobby Caldwell, Dustin Caldwell, Gavin Moorman, and Chase Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Kelly and Michael G. Adams.
Due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19, face masks are required to attend the service.
