Her greatest loves were her family and her relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of First Assembly of God Church of Panama City.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Hughes; her parents, James Hilton and Margaret Merle Baker; one brother, James Baker and her sister, Gail Burggren.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Herb Hughes (Kathy), Leland Hughes (Kim), David Wayne Hughes (Weibo), Teresa Holloway (Mark) and Brian Hughes (Jennifer); 13 grandchildren, Phillip Carleton, Andrew Hughes, Matthew Hughes, Laura Swinehart, Megan Whitaker, Ethan Hughes, Carissa Dantes, Chesley Hughes, Paige Hughes, Landon Holloway, Cassidy Holloway, Kayla Hughes, Nikki Hughes; 18 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Thomas Baker (Shirlene), and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. Both the visitation and funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date.
