George Grant Graham, age 72, of Sophia, WV passed away at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital on Friday, September 11, 2020. Born on May 13, 1948 at Odd, WV, he was the son of the late Lacy Graham and Edith Reed Graham. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army, and life long member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sophia-Midway Post #4326. George was a retired coal miner with 36 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Edith Marie Graham; a brother Jack Graham, and sisters Brenda Hogan, Patricia Richmond, and Sandra Bjork. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 33 years, Ellen Ann Norris Graham; a brother Tom Graham and wife Naomi of Flat Top; step sons, Anthony Selden and companion Tammye of Maryland, and Patrick Sgro of Pennsylvania; step grandchildren, Caitlin Selden of Maryland, Jaclyn Selden of Florida, Alex Sgro of Pennsylvania, Victoria Sgro of Maryland, and Brittany Boschert of South Carolina. Three step great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at noon with Elder Keith Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
