He loved racing and began his career at the Sports Dome in 1949. He was known as "Snappy Jack, darling of the race fans". He was also a retired aircraft mechanic and was a Korean Army war veteran.
He is survived by his daughters-Jo Dufton, Victoria Anne, and Lou Ann Windhorst (Travis); grandchildren- Jaime Kielser and David Smith; 7 great-grandchildren and good friends-Jack Hollowell, Kathy Penick and Paul Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents- Robert and Stella McDonald; brothers-Robert and Jim; sister-Joyce and granddaughter-Claire Dufton.
Visitation will be at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 12-6 pm. Interment will be at SCI-Kraft Graceland Memorial Park and will be private.
