Dorothy A. Schons Visitation for Dorothy A. Schons (nee Aul), of Huntley for nine years, formerly of Mount Prospect for 30+ years, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Born Sept. 24, 1922, in Chicago, she died May 6, 2011, in Huntley. Prior to retirement, Dorothy worked part time at various jobs, including Glenview State Bank and Lifesource. She was actively involved with PADS for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence J.; loving mother of Dorothy (Ralph) Rohe, Dolores (Ken) Glandt, Diane (Bruce) Koelling and Christine Schons; grandmother of Rob (Janice) Rohe, Randall (Mary) Rohe, Susan (Shawn) Heidenreich, and Anna and Aaron Koelling; great-grandmother of Abby and Ellie Rohe, and Lauren and Natalie Heidenreich; and sister of David Aul, Reinhold Aul and Mary Silcox. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pioneer Center for Human Services, 4001 Dayton St., McHenry, IL 60050. For information, 847-394-2336.
