ANNIE WALKER LINDSAY
The death of Annie Walker Lindsay occurred at her home, 204 Parkview Blvd., Almonte, Ont., suddenly on Friday, Nov. 12. 1965. Mrs. Lindsay was born at Cedar Hill, May 10, 1889, daughter of the late Richard Scott and his wife Caroline McMunn. Annie Walker Scott was married to John Lindsay at Cedar Hill on Oct. 8. 1912. Her husband survives and one daughter, Margaret, (Mrs. Archie Lockhart) of Almonte, and one grandchild, Donald. Also surviving is one brother, W. A. Scott of Pakenham. She was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Milton Lindsay of Pakenham Township. Mrs. Lindsay was a member of the Almonte United Church. She was keenly interested in community and church work. She was a life member of W.M.S. of Almonte United Church, North Lanark Agricultural Society and Ramsay Women's Institute, of which she has been treasurer for a number of years. The large funeral from the Kerry Funeral Home was held on Monday afternoon, Nov. 15, and was a fitting tribute to this lady. Rev. Skoutajan officiated. The pallbearers were; Harold Robertson, J. L. Erskine, Clare Syme, Robert Cochran, Jack Toshack and Ronald Lindsay. Interment was it the Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
