LYLA BENNETT LOCKHART
The death occurred suddenly on Monday, March 10th, 1975, of Mrs. A. Lockhart at Almonte General Hospital. Deceased was born in White Lake, the daughter the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Bennett. Predeceased by husband Arthur and one son, Archie, she leaves to mourn her loss, son Melville of Almonte and daughter Hilda (Mrs. Keith Jackson of Bowmanville); also seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; one sister Francis (Mrs. J. A. Kippen, White Lake) and brother, Archie Bennett of Arnprior, also survive. The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home, Almonte. The Rev. R. J. McCrea conducted the service. Burial was in Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were four grandchildren; Wayne and Donald Lockhart, Brian and Arthur Jackson, Harrison Bennett and Dave Drummond. The many beautiful floral tributes and donations to worthy causes, attest to the esteem and respect by those who knew her.
