Mary Louise Clipper Horne, 85, of Pensacola, FL passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was born April 27, 1935 in Pensacola, FL to the parents of Russell and Isabelle Clipper. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald; son, David Horne; brothers, Edward, Robert, Arthur and Hayward Clipper.
She is survived by her son, Warren (Cindi); three grandchildren, Christopher, Michael (Jessica) and Heather. She was a graduate of Miami Edison High School. Mary Lou met her husband to be, Donald, soon after he returned from a tour of duty in Korea. They were married on July 30 1956. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 30, 2016.
She endured many physical illnesses, but would say “it will be alright”. Mom received Christ as her Lord and Savior one summer after VBS. Her favorite bible verses were Psalms 46:10 “Be still and Know that I am God” and Isaiah 40:29-31; He giveth power to the faint; and to those who have no might be increased strength. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary Lou’s memory may be made to Missions at Olive Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 9:15 a.m. til 10:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. A private family graveside service will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
