Obituary
Ruth Leona (Gulley) Gray, age 94, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born September 15, 1925 in Harrison Township, Indiana, daughter of the late David and Mary (Thomas) Feustel.
She is survived by her 2 sons, David (Karen) Hopper of San Diego, CA and Keith (Barbara) Gulley of Saint Louis, MO; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Feustel; 2 sons, Roger and Darryl; her husbands, Lelie Hopper, Harry "Cy" Gulley, and James Gray; 2 brothers, Jerry Feustel, James Feustel; and her sister, Martha Liggett.
Most recently, Ruth was an employee of the Lawrenceburg Kroger. Over the years she worked at Teaney's Grocery, Schenley, Seagram's, she worked 16 years at Thatcher Glass, and also started a grocery in Manchester, Indiana (The Manchester Market).
Ruth was a member of the Greendale First Baptist Church and participated in numerous organizations, such as the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Sweet Adelines, Order of the Eastern Star, Dearborn County Women's Auxiliary, Greendale Garden Club, and the Jug Band.
Always a lover of her yard and garden, she managed to find time for that among all her other activities. She loved to travel in her retirement with Jim, they took many vacation trips.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 1 pm, with Mark Tanner officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
