Norman L. Hahn was the oldest son of Leonard and Lillie (Short) Hahn both deceased. His younger siblings were Dean, Gerald, Jack and Bonnie. All are deceased, with brother Jack surviving him. He attended schools in Port Angeles, WA and Neah Bay, WA, and graduated from there in 1952. He was in the military for over 20 years, and served in San Diego,CA, Astoria,WA, Spokane, WA, Cold Bay, AK, and Vandenberg, CA. and overseas in Spain, Korea, Marianas Islands and Vietnam. He ended his military career as Master Sergeant and a Vietnam Veteran and was discharged with honor in Mountain Home, Idaho in 1974. He was married first to Elizabeth June Conkey (1938-2013). They had 5 children together: Bryan, David, Douglas (died at birth), James and Janet. He loved to hunt, fish and go camping. There are many fond memories of camping trips across Alaska, Washington, and beyond, including treks up and down the Al-Can highway.
After retiring from the military, Norman moved to Anchorage, AK and worked as an electrician on the Alaska Pipeline at Prudhoe Bay. He married second wife Marilyn Miller Webb in Alaska in 1975. They were married 45 years. They retired from Alaska in the 1980's and moved to Williams, Oregon, near Grants Pass. He is survived by his 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, other nieces and nephews, several step-children, and 2 step grandchildren.
